Meet The Team

Jaine Best FCA (Director)

When I started Accountably Ltd in 2003 I was aware that many smaller businesses were not receiving the level of service they deserved from the larger firms of accountants. In particular they did not have sufficient access to a senior accountant and as a result often felt their affairs were not given priority.

I have over 30 years experience in practice. I am a fully qualified accountant and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Having spent part of my career working in a tax department of a larger firm I am also member of the Institute's Tax Faculty.

I have a son and daughter and live locally with my husband Paul. My hobbies include reading, travel and an obsession with all things tax related.

Jonathan Bardolph FCCA (Director)

I joined the practice in 2018. I have worked in public accountancy practice since 2003 and was awarded Fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2009. I enjoy supporting owner managed businesses as they develop, continually look for ways to mitigate their taxes and believe good communication is key for business relationships.

I live in Gosport with my wife, Jenny, and our son, Thomas.

In my spare time I enjoy directing a local Choir and being regularly involved in church music.

Kirsty Lovett FCCA

After taking a career break to have children I was pleased to be asked to join the team at Accountably in 2012.

I have over 20 years experience working in practice, specialising in small and medium sized owner-managed businesses and also a variety of charitable organisations. I was awarded Fellowship of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2001.

I live in Hamble with my husband Darren, 2 sons and 2 dogs. In my spare time I enjoy gardening, cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Clare Adamson ACA

I qualified as a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2010 having spent many years working in general practice. In 2013 I took on the role of tax manager in a local firm and in 2020 I joined the team here at Accountably as Client Tax Manager.

I live in Chandler’s Ford with my husband and my 2 girls. In my spare time I am involved in Girl Guiding UK and run a Brownie unit. I also enjoy singing and am a member of the community choir near where I live.

Lauren Rand MAAT

I qualified as member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in June 2008 and have over 14 years’ experience in general accountancy practice. I joined the team at Accountably in January 2015.

In my spare time I enjoy cycling, gardening, cooking, long walks and socialising. I live locally in Old Netley with my husband Chris and our two dogs Buddy and Kodi.

Greg Parr

Following graduation, I entered the accountancy profession in 2013 within the audit department of a large firm of Chartered Accountants in Oxford. I have continued in the profession since then in a variety of roles, with clients across a wide spectrum of industries and ranging from owner managed firms to multinational corporations.

I relocated to Southampton in October 2019 and was delighted to accept a role at Accountably as a Client Manager. For me, the real pleasure I get from my role is getting to know my clients and what the numbers really mean for the people involved.

In my spare time you can usually find me enjoying a nice walk in the New Forest or on the golf course wishing I had practiced a lot more!

Amanda James AICB CB.Cert

I qualified with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers in 2005 and started work in a self employed capacity providing book keeping services to small businesses and subcontract services to Accountably Ltd.

I was delighted when I was asked to join Accountably in 2011. I get great satisfaction from organising clients data to present a meaningful picture of their businesses.

I have a son and daughter and we live in Sholing with my husband Jason. In my spare time I enjoy making jewellery, sewing and reading.

Emma Yalland

I fell into accountancy by accident and have gained my work experience over the last 30 years in various industries.

After working as a Finance Manager in Milton Keynes, we took the decision to enjoy a slower pace of life and moved to Torquay in 2018 and joined this lovely team, working remotely, in 2019.

I am married to Dean and have a daughter, Niamh, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 chicken, 1 gerbil and fish. I love to go to the beach and eating out.

Sarah Jackson

After being self-employed  working with small businesses doing their book keeping  I  joined Accountably Ltd in September 2017

I have been a bookkeeper since 1997 (when everything was done manually) so I have seen many changes over the years.  I qualified as a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 2013 after spending some time working in education.

I am married to Andy and have a grown up son, Tom. I love gardening and interior design and also still keep my hand in education with tutoring.
